Stephanie Yu is a Clinical Psychology PhD student at UCLA working with Dr. Anna Lau. She is passionate about mental health equity and community implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) to reduce mental health disparities for historically marginalized racial and ethnic groups. To date, her research has focused on the adaptation and implementation of culturally-responsive EBPs in public systems of care serving diverse youth. For example, her interests span: 1) understanding how adaptations can increase fit of community-implemented EBPs to better serve racial and ethnic minority and immigrant families, 2) reducing disparities in mental health care access, such as via school-based EBP implementation and stigma reduction, and 3) cultivating community-academic partnerships to foster EBP dissemination and sustainment.
