Yazmin Meza Lazaro

Yazmin is broadly interested in using mixed methods and community-based participatory research to understand what factors impact the mental health of immigrant communities, including undocumented individuals, mixed status families, and refugees. More specifically, she is interested in investigating how individual, interpersonal, and systemic factors interact to impact mental health need, help-seeking behavior, and mental health service utilization among this community. She received her B.A. in Psychological Science at Pomona College in 2020. After graduating, she worked in the CENTRO Lab led by Dr. Guadalupe Bacio at Pomona College.
